Michele K. Short is a Unit Still Photographer for Film and Television.
Possessing a naturally low-key demeanor, Michele's approach to Set Photography embodies several concepts: high sensitivity to each actor's unique process, intuitive understanding of the intricate dynamics of a film set, and focus on story; those both in front of, and behind, the lens. Reveling in details as well as scope; comprehensive coverage is also a key priority, with the emphasis on fulfilling the wide variety of uses for production imagery.
With an extensive background in film and theatre, she has worked on numerous award-winning productions and has collaborated closely with some of the most accomplished artists in the industry. Access to these exclusive environments has been essential in her development as a photographer. In addition to her film work, Michele continues to photograph a wide range of subjects in an ongoing series of photo essays inspired by literature and philosophy.
Michele is also an expert on The Great American Road Trip, having traversed the country stem to stern a multitude of times, specifically with a commitment to taking only side roads. She is happy to advise where to find the best caesar salad and/or BBQ as well as where the best rest stops are in any given state.
